Bikini Time

Its that time of year once again. I am heading off on holiday in less than three weeks, and I do not appear to have a bikini that is even vaguely wearable. Searching high and low throughout the shops today proved highly unsuccessful.. So I have resorted to my last resort, internet shopping. It may be a retail phenomenon,  however it is just not for me, it is so easy to be sucked into a basket full of garments that you (deep deep deep deep down) know that you are not going to wear, or they may not look right, or may not even fit. All in all a general dilemma in my opinion.

HOWEVER, I have gone against my general dislike of internet shopping too have a little browse. I could hear Victoria practically screaming my name from across the pond. And boy did she have some secrets in store. Now just to choose which one will be flying my way...

Just spotted this beautiful Dior wedding dress on the Fashion TV Face book page. I think I may have fallen in love....

New Hair

After my sheer excitement of getting my hair done I completely forgot to upload a photo! I am pleased with my new hair, it is very different and I must say I am still getting used to it. 

Hi my darlings,

Apologies for not keeping in touch, hectic life is my only excuse. I wanted to share some fab photos i took in London the other day whilst shopping with mumsey. All day I was itching to get the Harvey Nichols to see what their S/S12 windows had on offer. They certainly did not disappoint.

Above an old fashioned sweet shop with a modern summer soaked customer.

Inspiration has clearly been taken from the old traditional shops in London, a traditional sweet shop, and market stall infused with S/S12 bursts of print and candy colours. Promoting the best of British heritage, a huge influence on fashion at the mo. The windows would not have been completed without our red post box, and loyal Bull terrier.

The time and effort that goes into visual merchandising is not always appreciated. A sharp creative mind is paramount, with the ability to catch peoples eyes, influencing what they buy before they have even stepped through the doors.

Harvey Nichols is by far one of my favourites for their window displays. Classy, elegant and chic.

Dear New Readers

Oh hi there darlings,

to my new readers- welcome aboard. I must warn you that my blog is a work in progress hobby at the moment, I am still finding my feet in the world of blogging- and I MUST apologise of my horrendous spelling, I am sure you will soon get used to it.

Please look out for my next post- Pat McGrath- the worlds most sought after make-up artist (who never even took classes). She is an inspiration, and it just goes to who that if you have a raw talent for something, keep at it, and you will soon be rewarded, just as she was! keep an eye out darlings.

I am super excited to get my hair dyed later- this is the look I am going to go for. I have never been adventurous with my hair, so it will feel like a bit change for me. Hoping it will turn out just like this. Wish me luck! I will let you know how it all goes!

Karlie Kloss

One of my favourite models for the past few years, Miss Kloss. Seen on Vogue.com wearing not one but two ball gowns voted most dramatic. She came onto the scene when she was just 16 years old- and yet just a few years on he is one of the most recognisable faces on the catwalk. 

Her tall slender figure fitting the garments beautifully; it is not hard to see why the designers love having her in their shows. Discovered- believe it or not- in an American shopping centre doing a charity fashion show supporting her friend who was suffering from cancer. With agencies al across the globe she is certainly not short of for, so we will be seeing a lot more of her in years to come.

Charlize Theron has her fist British cover of Vogue May edition, looking gorgeous in a stunning Versace dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. never would you think she is a new mother! I am sure there are a few women who would want to know her body secrets.

I always enjoy the VOGUE covers- portraying a super stylish, classy, chic side of fashion. It is such  a contrast to my usual sight of Manchester students making their way to lectures in Jack Wills tracksuit bottoms and hoodie to match. VOGUE allows you to escape for a few hours per month to a life where everything oozes luxury. I know it is a personal goal to be successful, just to enable me to appreciate this kind of luxury fashion more so than within the pages of VOGUE and ELLE magazine.

Easter spring look

It's spring time, and we are all looking for that fresh faced look. With candy colours popping through in our retilers we seem to be getting into the spirit quite efficiently. It is a shame about the weather turning colder again over this past week, but I challenge you to your best spring look for Easter day. Get out that mint pair of jeans, the tinted moisturiser and of course a brand new updo. There are some unique ones seen on VOGUE online, along with some gorgeous new shades of lip colour. Check it out, and get spring!
